As an added safeguard our event offers Allianz Registration Protection insurance. For an additional fee, this insurance refunds your full registration fee if camp is held but you cannot attend or must leave early due to a covered injury or illness which includes COVID-19. Details can be found here.

The Pointers Swimming & Diving program will offer six sessions of small group and private swim school instruction from September 10, 2019 until April 8, 2020. Our curriculum offers 6 levels of development for children ages 4 and older. Tuition includes online enrollment fees. Contact Justin Stoffel firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions. The Pointers Swim School promotes comfort, safety and swimming skill advancement. All participants will be encouraged to complete as many levels as possible. If our trained staff determines that your child is excelling within their assigned 3-week session, we will advance them to the next skill level FREE OF CHARGE. In short, we recognize improvement and promote advancement within each session.
Group classes are offered from 5:00-5:30PM, 5:30-6:00PM or 6:00-6:30PM. 6 X (30) minute classes per session for $39.00. 6-students MAX per group! Group classes run EVERY TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY evening for three consecutive weeks:

LEVEL 1 → INTRODUCTION TO WATER SKILLS
This student is a beginner, probably a little nervous, and has little swimming experience. They will work on becoming more confident and relaxed in the water on their front and back, while aiming toward total body submersion. Explore the water through floating, submerging, kicking skills, breath control and elementary swimming skills. Ages 4 and older. Classes conducted in the shallow water pool for levels 1 and 2.
LEVEL 2 → FUNDAMENTAL AQUATIC SKILLS
This student is able to submerge by themselves, with ease, for 5-10 seconds. They will work on air recovery skills, rollover breathing, and getting themselves back to the wall. Learn to turn over, additional breathing, combined front and back strokes and basic safety skills. Child must successfully complete and demonstrate level 1 skills.
LEVEL 3 → STROKE DEVELOPMENT
This student is able to swim, with ease, on their stomach at least 25 feet. They will work on developing side kicking and combining arm pulls with correct body position to create proper technique foundation for freestyle and backstroke. Learn to dive, front crawl, back crawl, elementary backstroke, tread water and additional safety skills. Child must successfully complete and demonstrate level 2 skills. Level 3-6 classes conducted in competition pool.
LEVEL 4 → STROKE IMPROVEMENT
This student is able to swim freestyle and backstroke with good technique for at least 75 feet. They will work at developing the sidestroke as well as an introduction to competitive skills. Learn deep water skills, endurance, distance swimming and learning to set up a turn at the wall. Advanced competitive strokes will be introduced when all other skills are completed. Child must successfully complete and demonstrate level 3 skills.
LEVEL 5-6 → STROKE REFINEMENT & SKILL PROFICIENCY
This student will work to develop advanced competitive strokes such as butterfly and breaststroke. In addition, competitive skills including the streamline, underwater dolphin kick and racing starts will be addressed. Children will develop coordination and refine technique for all strokes. Flip turns for front and back crawl will be refined. Endurance will increase during each class. Child must complete and demonstrate Level 4 skills.
